After reading Health Psychologist Kelly McGonigal’s The Upside of Stress, and Social Psychologist Ellen Langer’s Counter Clockwise, I am moved to include the concept of Mindfulness of Mindset. Mindset refers to the establishment of attitudes. In these books, research findings show salient effects of how we relate to our stress and our health. These findings and their applications can increase our ability to thrive even under difficult circumstances.
